Sophia University UNESCO Chair Newsletter Vol. 2

February 2026 Issue

We are pleased to present the second issue of the Sophia University UNESCO Chair Newsletter. This edition looks back on our activities in 2025 and highlights the key developments of the year.

As the second year since the establishment of the Chair, 2025 was marked by our active participation in a wide range of networks both in Japan and abroad. It was also a year of major events: in July, Sophia University hosted the Nobel Peace Prize Commemorative Symposium, and in December, the National UNESCO Schools Conference was held.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued cooperation and support.
